Hyatt Hotels Corporation today announced that its lifestyle brand Caption by Hyatt will make its Australian debut with the opening of Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney on 13 October 2025. Located on Parker Street in the heart of Sydney, the new property blends cutting-edge design with a strong focus on local community, sustainability, and creative expression.
Part of Hyatt's global portfolio of more than 1,300 properties, Caption by Hyatt redefines hospitality for modern travellers with flexible, tech-enabled stays and a vibrant, community-first ethos. The brand already has locations in the United States, Japan, and China — and Sydney marks its first footprint in the Southern Hemisphere.
A New Style of Stay
Guests can expect a guest-led, host-supported experience, with mobile check-in and keyless room entry features giving travellers full control from their phones. At the heart of the property is Talk Shop, an all-day social space that serves as the hotel's café, bar, and community hub — designed to host local events, pop-ups, and collaborations.
Creative Partnerships
The Sydney property features an exclusive art collaboration with local creative Chris Yee, whose bold, large-scale works draw from Sydney's cultural heritage and urban energy. Reflecting the brand's sustainability values, the hotel operates with eco-conscious practices, and partners with local suppliers for food, drink, and amenities.
